Let me start by saying that if I could give ten stars I would. Ed and Donna are simply amazing. They genuinely care about each and every animal entrusted to their care. They go above and beyond to accommodate and are just the loveliest people ever!!!!! I have used other dog sitting places for my two dogs and never have I seen my dogs as happy and loved as they are with Ed and Donna. Everything from their large and secure yard to their immaculately clean and comfortable home just made it such a pleasure to deal with them. I truly had zero anxiety in leaving my dogs here. They have treated my dogs as if they were part of their own family and I really can't be more grateful for that.

Capt. Ed and Donna took care of my very large and sometimes annoying Olde English Bull. While away we were kept in touch daily with pics and videos of our puppy. There home is truly a home away from home. Every part of their home is dog friendly and I couldn't have been happier with leaving our Boosie with the captain and Donna. I would recommend using them for your dog caring needs.

The Captain and Donna are amazing! Teddy is always so happy to be there and is always excited to "tell" me about all the fun he had when I pick him up. They send daily pictures and cute videos. I completely feel like they are family and they treat our boy like their own. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Best ever!!

I left my pet rats in the care of these folks while I was on a cruise and i could not be more happy with how they treated my babies. They emailed nearly daily videos and photos and updates of them that made me smile each time. They were so mindful to the needs of my rats. They are true true animal lovers and understand that your pet is your baby. Donna has experience with all types of animals and they are willing to adapt to the needs of your pet. I cannot recommend them enough. My only gripe is I wish they lived closer to me! However I was willing to drive over an hour because I knew my pets were in excellent care.

Ed and Donna are a godsend. Ed left a flyer on my mailbox many years ago. I took a chance and called him to watch my dog . It was the best thing I could have done. I now have total piece of mind when I have to be away. I don't have to wonder what my dog is up to as I get pictures and updates daily. They have been there as I have had dogs pass (on my third with them) also there for when I went back and forth to Florida all summer to care for my mom. My dog gets much needed socialization and we both couldn't be happier with the services Ed and Donna offer.

We found The Captains pet sitting service via Google and we couldn't be happier with our dog's home away from home. The thing that set them apart was his wife's knowledge in the veterinary field, giving us peace of mind over our dogs past history of pancreatitis and HGE. Ed is amazing with our dog Finnegan especially with his pandemic social issues with strangers. They were so patient and worked hard to gain his trust, and it shows in the pics and videos they share while we are away. He also cares for Finn's "cat brother" in our home which helps knowing everything is good at home while away.

Capt. Ed and his wife Donna are the absolute BEST!!! I have entrusted my senior dog in there care for awhile now. They truly treat their animals with the utmost love and care! I honestly wouldn't trust anyone else with my baby!

We left our Petey there last year. Petey has a mind of his own. Donna and Ed were wonderful with him. Honestly, I think he would have stayed there. I was updated regularly with pictures and a short summary of how he was doing. I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them.

When Captain Ed and Donna take care of my beloved dog, Piper, I never worry as I know they will both take care of her in the same loving way that my husband and I do. I LOVE Ed and Donna. I've used them for both sitting and boarding and they are amazing. It can be really stressful leaving my pets with anyone but I don't feel that way what's so ever with Ed and Doona... I have zero worries or anxiety when I'm away from them because I know they are in great hands and are going to be taken care of and loved. They are such loving people to both my animals and I couldn't be happier to have found them

Ed and Donna are the best of the best. Dog sitting/boarding is something they love and they are amazing at it. Our husky is high energy and loves all people and animals. They are so incredibly patient with her, it really relaxes us when we have to leave.
They will send updates of your dog too - how much more could you ask for?! Seeing our dog happy and having a good time is the best reassurance for a piece of mind while she is there.
These two understand animals, love them, and care for all of them as if they were their own! This services is highly recommended and we will continue to be costumers as long as we can :)

We left our one year old puppy with Ed and Donna for about 9 days while we were on vacation. We could not have been happier with their services. It is so apparent how much they both love animals and how easily our dog was welcomed into their home. We received daily photos and videos of our dog which was great for our peace of mind, and a great way to see how much fun our dog was having with them. It really felt like our puppy was having her own vacation! We certainly plan to use them again for pet sitting in the future, and highly recommend their services!

As usual, I am so late with writing this review - apologies to Ed & Donna!
Our Maximus is a little 'extra' - that is how I described him to Ed in my first email. Max is 12 but had surgery when he was 4 for herniated discs. The injury caused some nerve damage to his hind quarters resulting in him being a little more work to care for including having to be carried up and down stairs, haphazard accidents and needing booties on his back paws if walking on pavement. I ran down Max's list of ailments and asked Ed if he thought Max might be too much to take on.
Ed responded with a video of another pup they had watched for years who was happily tooling about their yard in a little doggie wheelchair. Pairing that with the fact that Donna works in a vet office, I felt sure that they would be able to take good care of our 'extra' pup.
While we were away, I received text reports, photos and videos of Max's days and he always looked happy and/or peaceful (many relaxed, sleeping pics - his favorite thing to do). Ed and Donna were watching two other dogs during the same week and I was a bit nervous about that - Max used to be a love-everyone-come-play-with-me! dog before his injury. He has become a bit defensive now and isn't the friendliest. It took a bit of adjustment but by the first morning, Max was out in the yard with his new companions and seemed to enjoy having some friends to pal around with. And he always had space to go off on his own when he got tired of the extra company.
It is hard to find a pet sitter for animals that need extra care - or maybe it isn't, but it seems like it to those with these pets. I feel almost guilty that Max needs more attention than 'just give him food and water and open the door a few times a day.' Finding someone to watch and care for Max - so well that by day two of our vacation, I was completely at ease knowing he was happy, safe and content - was comforting and allowed me to enjoy our time away. We will be calling on Ed & Donna in the future for sure!

Going on vacation is the greatest thing, but figuring out where to leave your pet is SUPER stressful. Wondering if they will be okay, loved, and cared for appropriately is not something you want to be thinking about while you're supposed to be away and enjoying yourself! Well look no further...Dog Walking & Pet Sitting By The Captain is exactly where you want to leave your fur baby. Each and every time I leave my dog there, he loves it. He actually goes through a depression for a day or two when he leaves because he enjoys it there. It makes me feel so good to know that we are both having fun on our vacations.

I have been working with the Captain for about 2 years, and I can say, without reservation, that his is the best dog care service I have ever used. They are reliable, reasonable and extremely caring and connected to the work they do. I have 2 large rescues and they can be a handful but I know they are in loving and patient hands when I go away. It is always great to go on vacation but it is "priceless" to know that your fur babies have the very best care they can have next to yours when you're away.
One very happy customer!
